During the noon hour on April 12, 2020, crews from Station 26, 16, and 9 were called to a Southside strip mall for a vehicle fire. First in was the crew from Station 26 located just a few blocks away, reporting a fully involved commercial vehicle. The fire was put out quickly but firefighters stuck around to ensure the engine compartment, or what was left of it, was cooled down and not at risk of reigniting.
